A painter stood nearby trying to capture the changing reflections. The color of the water shifted whenever a cloud passed overhead. At sunset, the lamps formed a second bridge in the river below. It was an ordinary place that rewarded a little attention. The bridge joined two busy neighborhoods above a narrow river. In the morning, bicycles moved steadily across its wooden surface. "Shall we try again?" someone asked. We made a short note so that the idea would not be forgotten.
