There was a funny story from the market and news about a new job. The writer asked a question and left room for an answer. A careful fold turned the page into something ready to send. Sometimes a few thoughtful words can make a long distance feel smaller. The first sentence took longer than the rest of the letter. Once it was written, the memories began to arrive easily. A note on the page said, "Keep going." We made a short note so that the idea would not be forgotten.
