They took turns telling stories while the tea cooled. Later, they packed every wrapper and checked the ground carefully. The place looked as welcoming when they left as when they arrived. A picnic blanket covered a sunny patch of grass near the pond. The plan was simple (and useful): finish one small thing. Looking back, each small decision had made a difference.
